Highway 55 Policies

Deposits and ID are required on all rentals.

Reservation Down Payments:

In order to guarantee that the equipment you reserve is available for you at the time you reserve it for, we require a nonrefunable down payment at the time a reservation is made. This down payment is a mutal promise, we promise to have have the equipment and you promise to pick it up. In the event that you cancel your reservation anytime after you make it, the nonrefunable downpayment becomes a cancellation fee.

What Constitutes a Rental Period:
We sell time. We charge for all the time the equipment is out, including Saturday, Sunday and Holidays.
Your prompt return will save you money.
 
Minimum time:
The least expensive rate applied to each rental. (varies by equipment rented)
 
24 hour day rate:
Any 24 hour period. (some equipment based on 8 hours running time in a 24 hour period)
 
Week Rate:
7 days (some equipment based on 40 hours running time in a 7 day period)
 
Monthly Rate:
28 days (some equipment based on 160 hours running time in a 28 day period)
 
Long Term Rates:
Special rates for long term rentals available upon request.
 
We reserve the right to add, change, or discontinue any item on this Web Site. All prices are subject to change with out notice.
 
We do not guarantee any item to do any particular job.
 
All equipment that requires fuel to operate is sent out with a full tank.
All small equipment has a fuel charge added to cover the cost of the tank of fuel.
All fuel in larger equipment will be charged upon return if not returned with a full tank of gas.
 
Delivery and Pickup:
We offer delivery and pickup of all equipment.
Rates based on distance traveled. 
 
Damage Waiver:
9% of the total rental will be added to cover repair costs of items damaged in customers possession due to circumstances beyond customers control.

Note: Damage waiver is NOT insurance. It does not cover abuse, misuse, or theft of property.
Damage Waiver will be applied to all rentals unless a certificate of insurance is issued by your insurance company naming Highway 55 Rental and Sales, Inc as covered by your policy for the loss, theft, or destruction of any rental equipment in your possession. Coverage must be in sufficient amount to fully cover items rented. Certificate MUST be in Highway 55 rental's position prior to rental.
 
State Sales and Use Tax:
These taxes apply to all rentals. If you are a tax exempt organization, and exemption Certificate MUST be applied prior to rental.
